walking holidays in Hay-on-Wye

accommodation for walkers in hay-on-wye

In 2012 the town was granted Walkers are Welcome (WaW) status, recognising the multitude of opportunities and facilities ramblers in the locality.

There’s a variety of options that suit walkers, hikers or ramblers of any age or stage. For example, Bailey Walk is a beautiful route along the town-side of the River Wye; measuring only 1.5 miles in length it’s perfect for a leisurely afternoon. Contrasting this, a short drive to the south-west and you will find Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in southern Britain, measuring 886 metres from sea level.
